Each purchase of Compassion Kombucha provides the following amount of food to children in the program:

1 pint = 2 pounds of food
32 oz bottle = 5 pounds of food
64 oz growler = 8 pounds of food

Compassion Kombucha is proud to partner with The Giving Plate, a family-founded and -operated food pantry that currently serves the food-insecure populations of Central Oregon.

We will give 10% of profits earned at the Northwest Crossing Saturday Farmers Market (now through September 21), to support The Giving Plate’s childhood hunger relief program, Kid’s Korner.

ABOUT THE GIVING PLATE

“Feeding the hungry today, with compassion and hospitality.”

The Giving Plate is intentional in its efforts to remove the clinical stigma commonly associated with food banks, replacing it with an environment that is warm, welcoming, and rich with hope. They take the time to listen to their guests, hear their stories, and ensure each individual feels seen and genuinely valued. While The Giving Plate will serve anyone in need without judgement or discrimination, they have a very special focus on childhood hunger, which is what caught our attention.

ABOUT KID’S KORNER

Kid’s Korner is Oregon’s first child-specific food pantry. Here, young guests can “shop” for their own snacks and leave with about eight pounds of food per visit. The Giving Plate has worked hard to make Kid’s Korner a fun and comfortable space for children with art supplies, books, toys, and even tiny shopping carts with the hope to eliminate the fear and shame that commonly accompanies hunger and poverty.
